International Institute for Global Health Postdoctoral Fellowships in Malaysia, 2017

INTRODUCTION

UNU International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) is inviting applications for the postdoctoral fellowship programme. Applicants from developing countries and women are particularly encouraged to apply. The Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme at UNU-IIGH aims to provide an opportunity for candidates who have recently (no more than five years) graduated with a PhD to expand their career beyond their scientific disciplines. The UNU International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) seeks to contribute to the development and strengthening of health services policy frameworks and management actions, particularly for people in developing countries and to support the implementation of a promotive and preventive approach to human health. All international applicants for whom English is not the native tongue must provide proof of competence in the English language.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Fellowships are available to conduct research at the postdoctoral level at UNU-IIGH in Malaysia. Study Subject: Fellowships are awarded to work on any of the following ongoing research projects at the Institute: Systems Thinking for Urban Health and Governance for Global Health

CAREER PROSPECTS

College Admission Requirement Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have obtained a PhD degree. English Language Requirement: All international applicants for whom English is not the native tongue must provide proof of competence in the English language.

PAY PACKAGE

The position offers a 12-month residency with monthly stipends for the duration of the fellowship. During the fellowship, the fellow is expected to actively participate in the research and academic activities of the Institute, especially the research projects led by the Institutes research fellows.
